Backend Platforms - Overview
OneCompute allows the user to remove back-end dependencies from the application code, enabling applications to benefit from deploying to and running with different back-end environments, ranging from on-premise to cloud environments. Thus, OneCompute provides an abstraction over the back-end computational resources where the work is ultimately executed, providing the flexibility to run the computations on an individual device, on-premise servers or a third-party cloud provider, e.g. Microsoft Azure or Amazon AWS.
OneCompute has been designed to be extensible and support for alternative backend platforms will be added over time. Indeed, users are welcome to request support for other platforms or perhaps even contribute to the project with implementation code 😄.
Supported Backend Platforms
